Their participation in various health and welfare programs has contributed to Madhya Pradesh’s success in reducing maternal and infant mortality rates.

Water Resource Management

Water Resource Management is integral to our commitment to enhancing the well-being of rural communities. Recognizing the direct link between water and poverty, our efforts in water-stressed rural areas concentrate on enhancing access for agriculture and livestock. We adopt a localized approach, improving existing water bodies like ponds, lakes, and check dams. By mobilizing and empowering rural communities, we encourage the development of sustainable solutions. Our initiatives include cleaning water bodies, optimizing water flow, constructing new access points, and elevating water tables through rainwater harvesting, all driven by community-led ideas.

Watershed Development

Rainfed areas are vital for agricultural productivity and livelihood for millions of rural households in India, making up 57% of cultivated land and producing essentials like millets and pulses. Despite risks, effective and proper management can boost food production. These areas, full of potential, offer opportunities for faster agricultural growth compared to irrigated zones. In the face of climate change, managing watersheds becomes crucial to reduce risks, build resilience, and adapt. Watershed management helps recharge groundwater in droughts and controls floods, protecting livelihoods and ecosystems. Forests and afforestation sustain biodiversity and preserve water in soils.
